» In what ways does your employer motivate employees to work harder or more effectively?
My boss tries to keep a light atmosphere as well as checking in with us individually to make sure we aren't overwhelmed with work. I work with a lot of other students so Brian likes to check in and make sure that the work we do for Parklife doesn't get in the way of classes which I really appreciate. Work feels evenly distributed but shifting pieces around is welcomed and encouraged so that we maintain a good work ethic.
» Which strategies are particularly helpful in motivating people?
I think the most effective method is keeping a light environment that doesn't cause too much stress while still maintaining deadlines.
» What strategies might you suggest to improve morale and productivity?
Overall i'm really happy with the way that productivity is encouraged, but i think more communication between the writing and design team will help with some of the social media issues and keeping up with what the other part of the company is doing.
This week was light again as we are still in the process of finalizing some pieces of work from earlier this year. Despite this, i worked on some audio recordings and some graphic design work for different organizations like March to the Polls and Celero Financial Tech.
Highlights: Working on audio for a core values video was fun and as I continue doing more recordings, I feel like I'm getting better at reading scripts and recording a professional quality sound.
Issues: Still learning how to work adobe audition, theres so many options that it honestly feels overwhelming sometimes
Problems: I couldn't figure out how to remove the sound of mouse clicks even though I had managed to do it in the past which was frustrating
